VP of Technology
Location: Santa Clara

Core Responsibilities
• Lead technical organization, overseeing the research and development laboratory
• Lead engineering activities, ensuring integrity and quality of certification program development activities
• Lead certification support activities, responsible for supporting Development, Authorized Test Laboratory quality assurance, and technical assistance
• Lead software development activities, managing platform, tool suite, release cycle, and roadmap evolution
• Member of executive team, communicating with membership, working with Board of Directors, and contributing to organizational policies and procedures
• Serve as a spokesperson for the company on technical subject matter, roadmap and corporate vision as necessary
• Perform special projects as assigned by the CEO
• Ability to maintain collaborative culture and build team loyalty
Experience
• 20 years of engineering experience, 15 in leadership role
• Experience developing and managing a departmental budget
• Demonstrated results delivering process improvements and managing product development
• Excellent track record managing vendors, dispersed teams and external partnerships
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial and small organization
• Record of strong leadership, building and supporting high performing teams
• Experience in testing and quality assurance
• Experience engaging with executives and Board of Directors

• Polished, professional communicator, excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to an executive audience and technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Effective in working with multiple levels of management, marketing and engineering

Education
• Master’s degree (M.S.) in electrical engineering, computer science or closely related technical field
