Major Gifts Director with Commitment to Equity and Justice for a Sustainable Finance nonprofit located in NYC

Qualifications:

10+ years of successful fundraising experience, preferably centered in
the New York City area and/or in the financial services community.
• A track record of securing six and seven-figure donations from high-net-
worth individuals.
• High energy with a self-starting, independent and goal-oriented attitude.
Ability to lead and work constructively with team members.
• Able to demonstrate a passion our mission
• Strong organizational and planning skills and ability to think strategically
and dynamically.
• Motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to own projects and ask for
assistance when needed.
• Ethical with a high degree of professionalism, including a demonstrated
ability to manage responsibilities with flexibility, integrity, and tact.
• Able to demonstrate consistent and sound judgment, and to think
through, create and follow timelines.
• Ability to define, refine, and document processes.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, as part of a team.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
• Computer fluency in Office 365, Salesforce, and G-Suite applications;
knowledgeable about the role of technology and electronic
communication in fundraising.
• Experienced and comfortable with meeting with high-profile individuals,
preferably in the context of Board of Directors, high-profile supporters,
and/or other leadership group settings.
• Familiarity with ‘moves management’ best practices and current
philanthropic / major gift trends.
• Achieve annual Individual giving targets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Lead a portfolio of donors and prospects. Proactively create and
implement strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of
donors to make annual major gifts.
• Create a pipeline of prospective donors and prepare solicitation
materials such as proposals and presentations.
• Represent the org in high-level external engagements with funders.
• Partner with the Executive Leaders to develop annual projections and budget
for the Individual Giving portfolio.
• Lead senior staff in their donor relations work by developing strategy
briefs and driving meetings.
• Direct Development Operations efforts to ensure our Salesforce CRM
supports Individual Giving needs.
• Generate detailed action reports and analytics on Individual Giving
fundraising progress

My client is committed to pay equity. The salary range for this role is between
$108,000-$122,000, with exact salary depending on experience, with an
excellent benefits package.
