US Policy and Outreach Director

Job Summary

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed
and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel
in this position.

About my client

Progress on disclosure brings us closer to progress on performance. When investors can compare companies and direct capital to the ones best managing business-critical sustainability issues, capital markets and society are more resilient as a result. Here, we believe the capital markets are a powerful lever of change for a more sustainable and just world. We need transparency at scale to enable this lever.

Your idealism drives you with a strong desire to improve the world, and you are also a pragmatist: someone who understands how decisions are made and who makes them, whether through legislation, regulation, or other policymaking. You know the levers of change —and how to work with others to achieve consensus and results. You have a wonkish side and dive into research and technical papers so you can analyze a situation and marshal facts and evidence in support of your goals. But at your core you are a people person—reaching out and cultivating relationships, where you can fully engage in nuance, uncover details, and make a case for your cause. You may have worked on other issues in the past, but you are strongly drawn by our belief that the capital markets are a powerful lever for building a more sustainable and just world.

We seek a Director of US Policy and Outreach to drive its policy efforts in the US. You will work with our CEO, communications team, and Board to influence policy and policymakers across the worlds of accounting, financial regulation, business and capital markets.
