Technical Project Manager

Job Summary

The Technical Project Manager will be part of the technology team, playing an integral role in helping build applications that are necessary for supporting the our mission. Working with the technology team, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing the existing application portfolio, implement the future roadmap for these applications as well as build any new applications or API based integrations as needed. In the past two years, we have utilized machine learning to analyze public company filings. You will have the opportunity to carry forward our current initiatives.

You are a roll-up-the-sleeves kind of person that is serious about ensuring systems are designed to help people find information faster and help get better insights. You like jumping and solving issues when you see a problem. You love integrating systems together to make processes better. Switching between programming and project management comes naturally to you.

Areas of Responsibility

• Technical ownership of key internal applications
• Collaborate with internal SASB teams in defining and scoping requirements
• Design, develop and roll out solutions.
• Work with external machine learning resources to carry forward current initiatives as well as new initiatives.
• Manage project timelines and take ownership of project delivery
• Work with vendors and/or contractors as needed.

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science or related field
• 1 – 3 year professional engineering experience. We are open to any one that has technical prowess
• Experience with web development using Java & Node.js
• Experience with Python. Experience using scikit-learn is a plus
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience in managing data and taxonomy
• Solid understanding of HTML5, XML, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery and CSS
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience architecting and consuming API
• Strong project management and vendor management skills
• Dexterity to switch between programming and project management as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working collaboratively with a team
• Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-moving start-up like culture
• US work permit required
