Some of the projects you’ll tackle in this role will be to:
• Participate in weekly deployment sprint planning with the engineering, ops and QA teams
• Design and develop tools and automated processes for monitoring, data analysis and reporting
• Proactively monitor production transaction volume, functionality, capacity, and performance
• Intake and triage of production support cases submitted by customers
• Build a strong understanding and working knowledge of customer use cases and challenges
• Diagnose, own, track and resolve production issues with the support of engineering, ops and QA (including issues related to data)
• Analyze and recognize trends in production support issues and prioritize them with the product and engineer team
• Provide off-hours on-call support for NOC escalations (Share a rotation with the team)
Our Ideal Candidate:
• Has more than 3 years experience doing production support
• Has a strong emphasis on learning new things
• Is comfortable and works well with many different teams
• Is a SQL expert (MySQL or Postgres experience preferred)
• Is comfortable working with linux
• Has a strong understanding of modern best practices around Agile Development, Release engineering, and Quality Assurance
• Has experience with modern monitoring tools such as Nagios, Splunk, Sumlogic, New Relic, etc
