Senior Compensation Manager *filled

Specific Responsibilities

The Senior Manager Total Rewards is responsible for delivering excellent client facing compensation support to our corporate functions (Corporate Affairs, Legal, IT, Finance, Sales and Marketing). As the internal compensationadvisor and technical expert, this individual will be responsible for understanding the objectives of each of our corporate function leaders and providing the appropriate total rewards expertise, process and/or programs needed to deliver business results. This individual is expected to be able to actively negotiate and influence outcomes that support the corporatecompensation philosophy as well as the functional objectives/priorities.
The candidate must be capable of working in and through a matrix management environment with both business leaders and HR peers. The successful candidate must also have the ability to juggle multiple tasks, handle sensitive information, make sound business decisions, influence business leaders, manage details, and deliver results on a company-wide scale.
Essential Duties and Job Functions

Proven technical capability with broad based pay delivery, performance management, job evaluation, data analysis, research and cost modeling
Proven success advising and influencing in a client facing role
Demonstrated ability to successfully identify the root cause of issues/concerns and propose creative solutions to meet the needs of the business while aligning with overall HR philosophy
Demonstrated ability to operate in and between the tactical and strategic level seamlessly
Ability to meet independently with senior leaders and present to them with confidence, impact and influence
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to tailor messages to match the level of the audience
A sense of urgency and a proactive approach
Highly effective analytical and problem solving skills while demonstrating good judgment
Strong collaboration and customer service skills
A self-reliant achiever with ability to work independently and set and adjust priorities
Team player who can easily handle shifting priorities and multi-tasking in a deadline oriented environment
Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Demonstrated expertise in database management and spreadsheet software required.
Demonstrated compensation background in the following areas: base salary, variable pay and performance management, equity programs, job evaluation, data analysis, research and cost modeling.
Able to effectively communicate data-driven results to senior leaders of all functions at all levels within the Company.
Able to balance client support and global Total Rewards program management.
Able to work independently on projects, with only infrequent check-ins with manager on direction.
Builds strong justification to support recommendations and effectively communicates to decision-makers.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and well-organized.
Must possess strong time management skills.
Team player who can easily handle shifting priorities, multi-tasking in a deadline oriented environment.
Motivated and willing to take initiative.
10+ years of relevant experience in the Compensation field plus a BA/BS degree, preferably with an emphasis in HR or Business.
An MS degree can be substituted for 1 year of related experience.
Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
CCP certification or course completion desired.
