Product Manager for Payments Platform *filled

You will build new products, help to develop new features based on your industry experience, help identify and implement internal processes which facilitate scalable increases in efficiency and quality, and find innovative solutions to complex problems and/or market needs. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and a passion for owning products all the way from ideation to post-launch.

Responsibilities:
-Create and manage product strategies, roadmaps, project plans, and product specifications
-Collaborate with business development and engineering on product development during the discovery phase to assess cross-partner value, scope of effort, usability, and priority of product features
-Own the product’s user experience and feature set and act as the product evangelist to build awareness within the organization
-Anticipate market appetite and properly evaluate how new platform offerings best fit into a brimming roadmap
-Prioritize and create detailed product specifications to be used in written specifications, business rules, flows and use cases, as well as user-experience deliverables such as prototypes, wireframes and design, and copy documents
-Drive customer discovery to identify, synthesize, and prioritize product requirements
-Ensure successful product rollouts by working cross-functionally with business development, marketing, operations, compliance, and engineering
-Work with engineering counterparts to architect and develop key system infrastructure including APIs, data models, and integrations
-Assist in the QA process by identifying key use cases and defining priority of any identified issues
-Own internal and external documentation, ensuring precision and usability
-Engage frequently with engineering and project management during implementation; be available to quickly answer questions that arise during implementation and to make scope tradeoff decisions
-Manage the development of training materials and train users on new product features, support business users and translate feedback and needs into better product experience

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years experience as a product manager successfully shipping payments products
-Strong understanding of all aspects of agile product development and delivery
-A proven track record of success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing and often conflicting priorities
-Outstanding speaking, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire, and motivate others
-Winning attitude, excellent teamwork and strong communication skills
-Passion for great user experience
-Excellent technical acumen, curiosity, and familiarity with new technologies
-Basic knowledge of computer programming and databases
-Must be a self-motivated, goal oriented individual with excellent organizational skills
-Ability to innovate, develop, and execute against all product initiatives
-Experience developing and scaling platforms
-Demonstrated ability for data-driven planning and decision-making
-Strong quantitative and analytical skills with willingness to dive deep and interpret complex data
-Exceptional at communicating with senior management as well as with colleagues from technical and non-technical backgrounds
-Passion for getting things done right and feeling good about the end result

Desired Qualifications:
-STEM degree
-PMP, CSM, other certifications
-JIRA expertise
-Familiarity with some or all components of a full technology stack
-Knowledge of regulatory environment in the payments space
-Familiarity with emerging technologies and cryptocurrency
-Familiarity with Java, MySQL, jPOS, Drools, Scala, Amazon Redshift, message queues
-Knowledge of a programming or scripting language like Unix, Shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby
-Experience with git, github, and the pull request workflow
