JOB SUMMARY
As Market Engagement Manager – on the ESG research team, you play a pivotal role in sustainability in the capital markets. You are passionate about the role that environmental and social factors play in creating enterprise value and bring experience in stakeholder engagement and facilitating dialogues with industry experts with a diversity of perspectives. You will manage the Advisory Group, which is a standing committee of almost 200 experts that provide feedback on current and emerging sustainability issues for consideration as part of our standards-update process. You also enjoy and actively contribute to the collaborative environment with other research team staff and engage with the independent Board, which approves standards.
You bring subject matter expertise on ESG issues and an understanding of how these issues can impact financial performance of companies. You are equally organized, intellectually curious, comfortable working independently, and experienced at responding to stakeholder feedback and inquiries in a thoughtful and timely manner. You are also comfortable thinking both strategically and at the technical detail level. You may have direct experience facilitating corporate roundtable meetings or leading sessions designed to solicit stakeholder feedback.

Standard Setting & Research
Help identify research team projects in response to organizational demands and market feedback, and/or group related projects into practice areas
Market Relations and Communications
Manage the Advisory Group by recruiting a range of industry experts and building program that can facilitate the transfer of expert feedback, insights, and perspectives into our project identification process
Develop stakeholder engagement strategy for proactively building strategic relationships with key market participants that can support our mission.
Effectively communicate standard-setting activities to the market with a focus on how they can provide valuable feedback to technical staff.
Draft email, blog, and video content (in collaboration with the Communications Team) to inform the market of Research Team activities and request for market input
Drive market education, awareness, and participation in the standard-setting process through moderating, speaking at, and/or representing us at relevant industry conferences, workshops, and events
Organizational Interface Management
Communicate Standards Research Team progress and key milestones to internal stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
The Market Engagement Manager – is proactive, curious, strategic, collaborative, and a highly organized critical thinker with a growth mindset who are committed to the vision and our values. In addition, Analysts have:
6+ years of capital markets and/or industry experience
Experience in strategic stakeholder relationship management (investor and corporate stakeholders a plus)
Demonstrated stakeholder management skills and ability to facilitate dialogues with a diverse group of industry experts
Experience in sustainability or environmental, social & governance (ESG) preferred
Excellent writing, presentation, and speaking skills across a range of formats and audiences
Collaborative work style with an ability to be effective both as an individual contributor and project manager in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment
Undergraduate degree (BA or BS) required
