Specific Responsibilities and Skills

The Manager, Compensation is responsible for leading and managing the Programs and Operations team within the Compensation organization. In this key role, you will be responsible for administering compensation programs and processes designed to promote market competitiveness and support business priorities of attracting, retaining & engaging exceptional talent.

Key areas of focus will include the program management of the annual compensation cycles, management of compensation systems, total rewards training and communication and salary survey management. This is a great opportunity to play a lead role in building and shaping the charter of this team within the Compensation organization. The successful candidate must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks, handle sensitive information, make sound business decisions, manage vendor relationships, manage details, and execute results on a company-wide scale..

Essential Duties and Job Functions

· You will have direct management responsibilities of day to day activities for one or more employees and will be accountable for their performance evaluation, rewards and development.

· Management of major compensation programs, including annual merit program, market review, survey participation and salary structure design.

· Serve as the primary point of contact and support to Human Resources Business Partners for the midyear and annual cycle reviews, including merit adjustments and promotions.

· Manage all aspects of global market benchmarking program, including market data strategy, vendor selection, salary survey submission, vendor management, competitive benchmarking analysis.

· Design, implementation and management of central tools and compensation systems, in partnership with HRIS.

· Manage the development of annual global merit budgets.

· Model salary structures for all countries.

· Delivery of annual compensation cycle analytics (budget modelling, calibration tool enhancements).

· Oversee the production of cross functional / regional compensation analytics.

· Oversight & governance of compensation knowledge base.

· Continuous improvement on compensation process & system infrastructure.

· Leads initiatives to develop efficient global standards and practices.

· Development and governance of all compensation analysis templates and processes.

· Support the development of effective communications that ensure thorough understanding of our programs and their competiveness.

· Conduct HRBP training sessions around compensation programs and partner with HRBPs on the manager training sessions for compensation programs.

Education & Experience

· Program and vendor management experience, ability to influence and negotiate internally and externally to ensure alignment with the corporate compensation philosophy.

Professional Background Required:

· BA/BS degree, preferably with an emphasis in HR or Business, and 8 years of relevant experience in the HR field.

· An MS degree can be substituted for 1 year of related experience.

· CCP and/or W@W certification or course completion desired

· Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical experience preferred
