The Senior User Interface Engineer will own the design and implementation of user interfaces for our dynamic configuration, reporting and charting engine. This engine is a sophisticated component of our Global Management System (GMS) and is used by our customers such as Apple, VMware, Facebook, Dell, Google, and AT&T, to configure networks, track trends, monitor performance and diagnose bottlenecks in their optimized Wide Area Network. The GMS is also our interface to virtual infrastructure managers such as VMware’s vCenter and Microsoft’s System Center as well as SDN controllers and protocols. In addition to direct development responsibilities, the Senior User Interface Engineer will participate in all architectural, technology and productivity tool selection decisions related to the user interface.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing intuitive, interactive and simple user interfaces.
• designing and implementing a rich, intuitive and scalable configuration and reporting interface
• Developing REST APIs in Node.js environment and Jetty/JAX-RS environment
• participating in and driving architectural and technology decisions; and
• implementing a highly unit testable code structure.
Minimum Requirements:
– US Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems/ Applications or math
– Two years of experience. New graduates welcome without any experience.
Skill set:
– Javascript, Jquery, Knockout, Ajax, MVC or MVVM design patterns for user interface development
– D3.js or other charting library experience plus
– Node.js and Express.js REST API development
– Embedded Jetty, Jersey and JAX-RS based REST API development
– Java language programming experience required
– Experience with MySQL and JDBC is required
– Experience with MongoDB or any other NoSQL databases is required
– Experience with WebSockets is a plus
